More details

No culture has ever been post-Christian in quite the way Europe is today. We've been through religion and out the other side. If church is a verb, it's in the past tense. And yet we hunger for God. We want intimacy; affirmation; absolution; freedom. - Only a being big enough to bear the name 'God' can grant such favours.

Gerard Kelly is an innovative thinker with a passion for the church to be fully relevant in today's culture. He is part of the leadership team of Spring Harvest, author of the inspiring 'twitturgies' blog and several invigorating books, including 'Spoken Worship'. In youth ministry and church leadership for over 30 years, most recently pastor of the Crossroads International Church in Amsterdam, he and Chrissie are now based in a centre in Normandy, working with The Bless Network to engage, inspire and empower young people to recover a missional heart for the cultural centres of Europe.

Prismatic church, his next book, examines a vision for the church turned outwards again, more than just a structure around which to arrange our efforts at bringing a message of salvation, but a transforming community bringing God's change to all of society. Every member empowered to discover gifts and use them; Every leader focussed on equipping and enabling; bringing all the colours of God’s wisdom, through all the callings of God’s people, to every corner of God’s world.

For anyone thinking about how church should work, come and join us in the centre of Sutton Coldfield for this workshop, which we hope will challenge, encourage and energise you. Close to the Cross-City line train station, bus terminus, car parking and shops.
